Teaching Assistant Level 3 - Reception & KS1 (Phonics and Early Reading Support)

TA Level 3, Grade 4 (Point 7-11), £26,03 - £28,142

25 hours per week, Mon - Fri, term time only (pro rata)

Permanent position

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant committed and passionate about Early Years provision and is able to provide high quality support.   Chorlton Park is part of the CLIC Co-operative Trust with three other primary schools (all based in the North-West). The core vision of CLIC is Changing Lives In Collaboration: 'Together We Make The Difference'.

 We are looking for a TA who:

  • can deliver high quality teaching and learning
  • has a good understanding of synthetic phonics
  • has had experience teaching Little Wandle
  • is able to assist in planning, preparation and delivery of lessons
  • can deliver specific support to raise the attainment of under-performing children and groups
  • can work independently to deliver, monitor and evaluate the success of interventions
  • is able to work effectively as part of a team
  • has excellent communication skills and is committed to building positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff
  • will be willing to contribute to the broader life of the school community.

Kitchen Assistant

Grade 1, Point 2, £24,413 pro rata (approx. £13.20 per hour)

Start date: As soon as possible

15 hours per week, Mon - Fri, 11am - 2pm, Term time only plus 5 inset days.

Permanent position

We are looking for a new Kitchen Assistant to join our lively school kitchen team to prepare and serve school meals and clean down following service. If you enjoy working in a team and helping to inspire the diets of the younger generation, we would love to hear from you.

Governors are seeking to recruit a kitchen assistant to:

  •  Assist with the preparation of meals in line with safe working practices and food hygiene regulations.
  •  Serve meals ensuring correct portion control and referring to allergen control procedures.
  •  Hold or be willing to undertake a minimum of Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate
  •  Clean kitchen equipment and dining furniture as required in designated areas.
  •  Assist with the moving and setting up of dining furniture in designated areas.
  •  Provide a customer focused service, which is both courteous and responsive to the needs of the customers at all times.
  •  Ensure compliance with food hygiene and COSSH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations at all times.
  •  Actively pursue own personal development and take full advantage of training provided.
  •  Undertake such duties as may be considered appropriate by the Catering Manager in line with the needs of the service.

Lunchtime Organiser

Grade 1, Point 2, £24,413 pro rata (approx £13.20 per hour)

Term time only, 12.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 11.30 - 14.00

Start date: As soon as possible

We are seeking to appoint a Lunchtime Organiser to work with our Key Stage 1 & 2 children at lunchtime.

 We are looking for someone with:

  • experience in working with children
  • demonstrable skills in engaging positively with children
  • good communication skills
  • ability to coordinate games and play
  • ability to follow policies and procedures
  • ability to record information accurately
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • commitment to professional development
