Louise Breed

Louise was elected onto the Governing Body of Chorlton Park Primary School by the Parent body in June 2015 and was elected as Chair of Governors in October 2018. 

Louise runs her own business providing consultancy for large organisations in cultural change, employee engagement and internal communications, having spent her career working in these areas for organisations such as The Co-operative Group, Marks & Spencer and HSBC. 

Louise has two children in Years 3 and 5 at Chorlton Park Primary School and joined the governing body to make sure parents' views and interests are central to decision making at the school.

Hazel Remeika 
Vice Chair of Chorlton Park Local Governing Body
Co-opted Governor (Parent)
Term of Office end: 31/07/2022

Hazel joined the Governing Body of Chorlton Park Primary School as a Governor in July 2018 and was elected as Vice Chair of Governors in October 2018.

Hazel has worked for the Co-op for over 10 years and currently is the Programme and Partnership Manager (Education) working with Co-op Academies. Previously she has managed programmes of membership and community activity, as well as previous roles in fundraising, marketing and events management.

Hazel has one child in Year 3 at Chorlton Park Primary School and joined the governing body to represent parents' views and interests and champion co-operative values and principles in decision making within the school.

Elizabeth Jayne
Director (Personnel)
Term of office end: 31/08/2019

Elizabeth has previously worked for Rochdale Education Authority and the Public Health Service in Sheffield then Salford.  She has been running her own successful management consultancy business for 14 years. Elizabeth has 16 years’ experience as a governor and has a solid understanding of school business. She holds the portfolio of HR, ensuring that appraisal is robust.

Dave Pilkington
Chair of Chorlton Park Local Governing Body
Term of office end: 31/08/2019

Dave was a Deputy Headteacher of a large, high performing secondary school Kingsway High School, Cheadle. He holds 25 years’ experience as a governor and has a wealth of experience in school improvement planning, systems thinking and smart success criteria. 

Hannah Heron
Staff Governor
Term of office end: 31/07/2019

Hannah was elected onto the Governing Body by the staff at Chorlton Park in July 2015.  Hannah is a member of the Performance Scrutiny Committee and Local Federation Governing Body.  Hannah joined Chorlton Park in 2013 as Class Teacher and year group TLR holder and is currently working closely with the Headteachers as Assistant Head Teacher for Years 1 and 2.  Hannah is a keen runner and runs regularly with a local running club.  She is also a keen cyclist.

Leanne Opdam
Staff Governor
Term of Office end: 31/12/2020 

Leanne was elected onto the Governing Body by the staff at Chorlton Park in December 2016. She has also been a staff governor on the Finance and Business Committee since September 2017.  Leanne joined Chorlton Park in 2010 as class teacher in Nursery before moving to Year 1 in 2014. She is now teaching again in Nursery and is year group TLR holder. 

Julia Humphreys. (Resigned January 2019) 
Co-opted Governor
Term of office end: June 2021

Julia Humphreys was co-opted onto the Governing Body in June 2017. Julia is a GP Doctor in South Manchester, and a Senior Clinical Lecturer at The University of Manchester Medical School. (She is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy).   Prior to completing her MBChB, she completed a BA (Hons) in English and worked as a Language Teacher in Japan and Russia for 3 years.  She has a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education and is currently completing her Masters in Creative Writing at The University of Manchester.  Julia is a keen runner and has completed two marathons and several half marathons, she also enjoys cycling and skiing.
